Exam Overview

84CY – Codes Exam: 2 hours | 60 questions | Open-Book. It is heavily weighted toward grout placement (30%) and masonry placement (27%), making cleanouts, lift heights, and weather protection key study areas. 84PY – Plans Exam: 2 hours | 30–60 questions | Closed-Book. Tests your practical ability to read structural drawings, schedules, and reinforcement details using provided plan sheets.

Written (Code): Focuses on the exam outline topics through instructional videos, text reviews, and topic-specific quizzes, concluding with a final exam that replicates the information-retrieval and calculation demands of the actual test.
